HTC Desire Eye

Scorned by many, loved by some, has become a polarizing selfie cultural zeitgeist for the smartphone age. And depending on where you belong to selfie spectrum, the HTC Desire smartphone Eye ($ 149.99 with contract) will be either a dream or a true sign that the end is near. Equipped with an over-the-top 13-megapixel, front facing camera with dual-LED flash, Eye Desire delivers unparalleled quality for your cherished moments with me. But fans selfie gone this long with subpar shots and maybe with low quality is part of the beauty. Are you ready to see and share yourself up close and unforgiving high-definition? Fortunately, the Desire Eye serves up more than just choosing a vanity shot, sending the flagship level specs at a relatively affordable price. Selfie fan or not, the One Eye is worth a look at AT & T

Design, Features, and Quality Call
New Look HTC Desire lineup embraces a playful design language, otherwise the precision-made design One (M8). The Eye Desire, Desire 612 as Verizon, is a two-toned plastic slab with comfortable rounded edges and a pleasant matte finish. It feels solidly built, but it is fairly large at 5.97 by 2.91 by 0.33 inches (HWD) and 5.43 ounces, just a bit shorter than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Along the right side are the volume keys , Power, and Camera, the latter of which is particularly useful given the focus on photography. Opposite side is covered Nano SIM and microSD card slots.

The Eye Desire carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating, which means it can survive dunks in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Really good considering there's no port covers to contend with.

The front of the One Eye dominated by larger-than-usual camera, I could later, and a 5.2-inch, 1920-by-1080-pixel LCD. It is slightly larger than the 5.0-inch display the M8, but seem to be cut from the same cloth. That is a good thing, because the M8 LCD is among the most dire excellent display on any mobile device, and to hold true for the Desire Eye. Viewing angle is wide, maximum brightness is stable, and appear more accurate than comparable color AMOLED display.

At first blush you'd be forgiven for thinking HTC nixed signature front facing stereo speaker setup it. Instead, the speaker grilles been slimmed down and recessed, but still manage to sound as strong as ever. I prefer the subtler look here, rather than in-your-face wide piece of speaker M8.

Linking with One Eye on 3G GSM / UMTS and 4G LTE AT & T's network. AT & T has a strong nationwide coverage and faster speeds, as we see in our latest shootout Fastest Mobile Network. Call quality is good in my tests, with clear transmissions through the mic and earpiece volume punchy. Voices sounded natural and intuitive coming through the earpiece, but the caller on the other end of the line reported a slight digitized quality in my voice. Noise cancellation worked well in my testing, dispensing with some powerful tapping noises nearby.

On a battery rundown test, in which we streamed a video on YouTube over LTE with the screen brightness set to max, the sealed 2,400mAh battery lasted for 4 hours, 42 minutes. That is slightly more than we got the iPhone 6, which lasted 4 hours, 33 minutes in the same test.
