Motorola Moto E

Motorola Moto E
Nowhere does it take to say that should cost a good smartphone over $ 150 And these days, there's not much difference between an entry-level and high-end phone, save for the processor, camera, and display specs. Display's second-generation Motorola Moto E is not as big or as sharp as the Moto X $ 179.99 on Amazon, its flagship smartphone Motorola, and the Moto E ($ 149) is not adorned with premium materials such as leather, teak, or bamboo, either. But if you only need a solid phone that allows you to browse the Web and stream your media over LTE, without taking out a loan, the Moto E is an excellent choice.

Design, Features, and Quality Call
The second generation of Moto E unapologetically takes after its bigger and older brother, the Moto G 4G LTE $ 0.00 on Amazon. 5.11 by 2.63 by 0.48 inches (HWD) and 5.11 ounces, the soft-touch, matte plastic Moto E feels quite thick and quite heavy. But, makes for a satisfyingly solid feel comfortable to hold and use, no doubt aided by the curved back, rounded edges, and balanced weight distribution.

The power button and volume button rocker-style on the right side to give feedback clicky light, but still feels soft. A small notch on the bottom left of the phone lets you peel away the removable plastic accent border around the phone, showing the microSD and SIM card mini port in the left corner. This is a great design that allows you to easily access the port, as well as customize the phone with emphasis on different border colors.

The second-generation Moto E getting upgraded 0.2-inch screen, bringing it up to 4.5 inches, although linger resolution of 960 by 540 pixels (256 ppi) -not particularly sharp, but suitable for a smartphone with this price point. Maximum brightness is good, but you still might peek in direct sunlight. Off-center viewing angle too darken the display, making it difficult to see if you deviate even slightly from the front and center. A silver accent bar at the top of the display acts as the earpiece and a front facing speaker. The mono speaker project music pretty loud without distortion.

In our review unit 8GB, 3.42GB of storage is available out of the box. Limiting how many apps you can install, can be less than 1GB per some where. Supports microSD slot card Moto E card up to 32GB; and our 32GB Lexar card worked just fine. But as usual, extra storage can only be used for your media, not the app data.

The US GSM Moto E with 4G LTE is unlocked and supports GSM / GPRS / EDGE (850/900/1800 / 1900MHz), UMTS / HSPA + 21 (850/1700 / 1900MHz), and 4G LTE (2, 4, 5 , 7, 12, 17). The star of the show here is the second-generation 4G LTE Moto E support. In my testing with an AT & T SIM card in New York City, the Moto E delivered speed 19Mbps down and up 6Mbps.

Call quality through the earpiece is loud and clear in my tests, with three times edge to prevent a nearby garbage truck loud voice from drowning. Noise cancellation is too good, too, as the person on the other end can not hear the same garbage truck, though some of the higher-pitched noises made it through, which is normal.
